AADF2026 Winter Symposium offers a full weekend of classes taught by sought after AAPI dance instructors. Come try out something new or dive deep into an advanced class. There will be something for everyone with a range of dance/movement genres and levels, as well as some wellness classes! Classes are open to the public. Teacher and class info coming soon – be sure to check back in the coming weeks, or follow us on Instagram for updates.
Winter Symposium kicks-off our 2026 season fundraising, with all proceeds going to AADF2026 programming.
Volunteers
We need 2-3 volunteers each day to help us set-up, check students in, and general people flow management. All volunteers get to take up to 4 classes for free! If interested, please email us at asianamericandancefestival@gmail.com with the subject: Winter Symposium Volunteer.
Dance/Movement Instructors
Winter Symposium serves to promote AAPI dance/movement instructors throughout San Diego and its surrounding counties. If you or someone you know is interested in donating a 1-hour or 1.5-hour class, please let us know. We’re looking to round out our roster and open to all dance/movement genres - including yoga, tai chi, martial arts and cultural dance forms. All instructors can take up to 4 classes for free, and all are encouraged to bring informational handouts about their regular classes. If interested, please fill out our Teaching Survey form, or email us at asianamericandancefestival@gmail.com with the subject: Winter Symposium Teaching.
Raffle Items
What’s a fundraiser without a big raffle? Throughout the event, we’ll be raffling off items to all attendees. If you are a dance/movement instructor, run a studio, offer goods or services that serve dance/movement artists (physical therapist, wellness practitioner, nutritionist, seller of dance/activewear, etc), or offer anything you believe the dance/movement community would be interested in, please consider donating something to our raffle - a class, studio pass, professional service, item/product, etc. We will include you and/or your organization in our promotional materials. If interested, please email us at asianamericandancefestival@gmail.com with the subject: Winter Symposium Raffle.
