The Center for World Music, founded in San Francisco in 1963 and based in San Diego since 1979, has offered Odissi dance classes in North County San Diego since the early 1990s, partnering with the Orissa Dance Academy in India to bring master teachers for extended residencies. True to its mission of cultural exchange, the school shares Indian classical art through community performances, school demonstrations, and festivals throughout the U.S. Shibani Patnaik is an Odissi dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist trained since childhood in India's classical temple dance tradition. She currently teaches at UC San Diego and has a deep passion for sharing this art form through teaching and dancing throughout North America.

PaperCrane Project (PP) is a creative collective, building opportunities to explore the intersectionality between human experience and embodied resistance.

Sifu Ferreira's White Dragon of East County is a family-oriented martial arts school in East County San Diego dedicated to developing confidence, discipline, and lifelong learning through traditional Kung Fu, Tai Chi, self-defense, lion dance, and action performance. Our students range from ages 3 to 90s and train in a supportive community that values character as much as skill. Through performances, cultural events, and community service, we strive to preserve martial arts traditions while inspiring the next generation to pursue excellence.

An American Born Chinese (ABC) raised in the San Gabriel Valley in LA, Dr. Matthew Tay is a movement and martial arts educator. Holding a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and an alumni of UCSD Dance, Matthew explores movement through the intersection of medicine, martial arts, and dance. His passion for Taichi stems from his journey to find his cultural heritage and roots. As a former USA Wushu Team member, Matthew still continues to compete semi-professionally but has shifted more to teaching. His goal is to share his knowledge of Taichi and Wushu and provide depth and nuance to these artforms.
